  If I could leave no stars I would. The Wagon Wheel was used for guests of my wedding at Mesa Lakes Lodge about 5 weeks ago. We called several hotels in Grand Junction and the Wagon Wheel to hold a block of rooms 6 months prior to wedding for guests to call in and book if they wanted to stay there. All hotels we contacted prior to the wedding including the Wagon Wheel informed us that the rooms would then be available if they did not get reserved by 2 weeks from out wedding day. After our wedding, we were sent a bill for 1000$ for 5 rooms that were left vacant for the 2 nights that were originally held for guests to phone in and make a reservation. The Wagon Wheel failed to open the rooms back up to other guests as previously discussed and decided to leave us with a 1000$ bill... complete robbery. In a small town you would expect to find honest hard working people. Not the case here. This establishment will try to take money from you in whatever way they can once you begin to do business with them. We are still in negotiations with our credit card company and are optimistic that once the fact that no contract was signed and our story is written the charges will be reversed. I strongly advise you to avoid the headache we are going through and steer clear of The Wagon Wheel - it is not an honest business.
